Los Cabos, Mexico, April 15, 2009 -- While there have been recent reports of crime and violence in Mexico reported in the U.S. press, Los Cabos remains largely unaffected by these incidents. Unlike border towns such as Tijuana and Juarez, Los Cabos is located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula and is separated from Mexico’s mainland by the Sea of Cortes. This isolated setting protects Los Cabos from feeling the effects of political or social unrest that may occur in other areas of Mexico.

Tourism is of utmost importance to Los Cabos and we would like all of our visitors to be assured that the Los Cabos Convention & Visitors Bureau is actively involved and in constant communication with the US and Canadian consulates.
